비치필즈 현실 박람회 이 작품은 켄트(Kent) 쉬어니스(Sheerness) 지역에 제안한 일련의 도시 무대이다. 외피는 일련의 평범한 건물과 현실적인 기능을 담은 무대 뒷편이 채워진다. 하지만 그 외피는 이 도시에서 가장 쾌락적이고 번영했던 시대를 그려낸, 끊임없이 변화하는 환상적인 입면들로 덮이는데, 이는 무대 세트와 같다. 도시의 사회경제적 이슈들, 특히 젊은이들이 거의 할 일이 없는 지금의 현실에 반응하며 이 박람회가 제시하는 것은, 단지 평범한 건물들의 배치일 뿐이지만 그러한 배치는 1960년대에 일었던 빅토리아 복고풍을 다시 도입하여 현실보다 훨씬 더 흥미로운 도시의 모습을 보여준다. 전체적인 배치는 대중을 현실적인 것과 비현실적인 것에 관한 여정으로 이끌며, 이곳에서 대중은 결국 확 트인 전망의 부두와 켄트산 생선과 감자 튀김이 가득한 요리를 회상하게 된다.

A proposal for a series of urban stages in Sheerness, Kent. The stages are filled with a series of ordinary buildings, with all the functions of reality ? the backstage. However these are covered in fantastical ever-changing facades that draw on the most hedonistic and prosperous time of the town ? the stage set. In response to the socio-economic issues in the town, in that there is very little to do, for young people in particular, the fair proposes a mere arrangement of ordinary buildings with the appearance of town that is far more fun than the reality, exploring the re-retrofication of 1960s Victoriana. The arrangement of the masterplan takes the public on a journey of what is and is not real, until they looks back across the site from the pier with clear view and a plate full of Kentish fish and chips.
